As it turns out, this is just what Lucky Palms needed. The bar encompasses everything Otto loves.

…And everything Hamilton loves. Parties and girls.

It also becomes the setting for a heated family discussion.

It was early morning after grand opening, and Otto’s hands were shaking so badly that she grabbed the nearest glass to clean to try to keep her nerves in tact. Her boys were here and she had the unfortunate business of announcing her plans to them.

‘So what’s this all about, Mum?’ Hadrian asked.

‘Boys, I’ve come to a decision,’ said Otto, plucking up her courage. It was difficult to remember at a time like this that she was a Rebel and wasn’t supposed to care what anyone – family included – thought. ‘We’re forsaking the Fae.’

‘Forsaking the Fae?!’ repeated Hadrian. ‘Can you do that outside of Moonlight Falls?’

‘Well, with some difficulty,’ Otto shrugged. ‘I’m having Hugh study Alchemy so he can mix a Potent Cure Potion that will make us normal Sims.’

‘I like how you’re using the terms “we” and “us”,’ said Ham.

‘BecauseĀ all of us are forsaking the Fae. Myself, Ham, and Haji. We’re going to be Normal Sims.’

Hadrian started to rise to his feet. ‘Mum, I know why you’re doing this, and – ,’

‘I know, I know, I don’t have to,’ said Otto. ‘This is a big decision, but I want all of us to party hard together until we’re all old and grey.’

‘You really don’t have to do this, Mum,’ Hadrian continued.

‘It’s okay, really. I’ve never really done a lot with my Fairy powers anyways and I’ve hardly ever seen Ham use them.’

‘What about Haji?’

‘He’s young. He won’t know the difference.’

Hadrian pursed his lips. ‘If you’re sure…’

‘Of course I’m sure!’

Nobody seemed to notice when Hamilton quietly stood and walked away, casting a final glance towards his mother without a word of protest.
